Protests erupted on Saturday following the detention of two Iraqi refugees, Hameed Khalid Darweesh and Haider Sameer Abdulkhaleq Alshawi, at JFK airport as a result of President Trump’s so called “Muslim ban.”
In usual fashion the crowd was ready with catchy chants and anti Trump signs. So what has brought on this tidal wave of political ambulance chasers, desparately leaping on every opportunity to create a second Bolshevik Revolution? Well, it’s the same old story.
Power in the name of love and tolerance, but if you’ve ever been to an anti Trump protest you’ll see quite the opposite. However, in the case of the so called “Muslim ban” there are a few errors associated with this term that the main stream media has gotten wrong… again.
First, the top 6 most Muslim populated countries (Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Egypt) are not on the so called “list.”
Second, the countries associated with the ban are not some dubious list Trump wrote up on his downtime while flying around on his private plane. These countries were on the short list of nations deemed as having potential terror ties that could affect the US’s national security and they were highlighted in the 2015 Terrorist Travel Prevention Act, signed by… you guessed it, Obama.
So where were all the angry protests back in 2015?
Where were all the anti Obama signs?
Where was the outrage?
It’s easy to fly under the radar when the “anti-war party” is in power.
