Happy St. Patrick’s Day non-specified gender neutral persons of unique varieties!
We celebrate the holiday with a pint of Guinness and a discussion about the movie, the Boondock Saints with Michael Tabone of www.EvolutionofEconomics.com. He also writes for us here at the site, so check out his work in both places.
This is a rousing and fun episode where we talk about vigilante justice, monopoly, ineptitude of government, licensure and permitting among other topics.
Here is a paper on the Private Justice System in the Diamond District of New York:

The solution is shame which damages reputation if you violate cultural norms. No surprise that it is massively effective. Ostracism is powerful tool against a social animal.

]]>In what will definitely not be considered a pro-tourism film for the country of Indonesia, we discuss the horrors on display in the film, the Act of Killing. The documentary follows a few of the executioners from the Indonesian genocide, where more than a million people were slaughtered, as they recreate their crimes to make a film of their own celebrating their actions some 45 years later. The true horror here is the mindset that these killers have maintained for half a lifetime and only through reliving the experience do they even begin to manifest humanity or exhibit any repentance for their actions.
We bring on special guest, Hinton Bowers who will be contributing as a writer for this site to talk about this movie, which was his suggestion for this show.
Look for articles from Hinton here in the coming weeks.

So, if you’re here because of that, welcome! We have a podcast and articles related to the concept of anarchy in the voluntarist sense. Our goal is to wrest the word back from the red and black flag wavers who destroy private property and don’t understand economics.
We have a stable of great writers sharing their content with us, so keep coming back for more.
Thank you!

We take the President’s Day holiday as an opportunity to examine America’s favorite president as depicted by Daniel Day-Lewis in Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln. Let’s just say that a Rothbardian Anarcho-Capitalist perspective is not kind to old “honest” Abe.
We have a special guest, Actual Anarchy contributor, Rex Gazer. Look for articles from him on the site soon; and once he launches his own, we will push it vigorously.
From the film, we see our hero avoiding peace by delay; thus prolonging the war. Visiting the wounded (A saint!). They depict Lincoln as a deity.
I like how they painted the guy who called out Lincoln for jailing journalists, suspending habeus corpus and acting like a dictator as a smug, virulent racist. Thus, his arguments are automatically invalid.
Later in the movie, Lincoln slapped his son. That’s assault brother.
Here is Tom Woods doing a show about the Great Presidents (of course, Lincoln is #1)
Here are a few articles to review:

]]>The movie that may have started it all! We discuss the 1990 Christian Slater flick Pump Up the Volume that features him as a shy high school teenager by day, but a pirate-radio, shock-jock host from his parents’ basement by night. He gets a local following by interacting with his audience, but runs afoul of the authorities; both local and federal. It’s a movie with a strong anti-authoritarian streak that really holds up even today, especially now that almost anybody can now have their own show (such as this one!) via the power of the internet and podcasting.
Speaking of podcasting, our excellent guest, Nathan Fraser has a show and offers services to help you launch your own podcast or start your own business. You can find more information about him here:

A man going through a divorce turns inward to loneliness until he begins using a sentient Artificially Intelligent Operating System. That covers about a third of what we discuss in this episode, you’ll have to tune in to find out the rest of our discussion.
